The aim of the irrigation management methods is to optimize the water supply per irrigated ha, bearing in mind that the interannual variability of irrigation needs is increasingly important. It can quite simply be a question of following irrigation warning bulletins, until the implementation of measurement tools in the irrigated plots (tensiometric probes, etc.).
